I spent years trying to force my brain into systems built for people with different wiring. The harder I pushed, the worse it got. BodyCog is the system I wish existed back then — built from neuroscience, tested in the real world, and designed for brains that do not fit the default.
I started in the Royal Marines. That taught me discipline, systems thinking, and how to perform under pressure. Then I studied neuroscience at university, fascinated by how the brain actually works — not how we wish it worked.
On paper, I had the tools. In reality, my brain was a mess.
ADHD. Brain fog that rolled in like weather. Energy crashes that wiped out whole afternoons. I could focus intensely for short bursts, then spend hours staring at a screen unable to start the next task. I tried the usual advice — more discipline, better routines, productivity hacks — and none of it stuck because none of it was built for my wiring.
The realisation came slowly, then all at once: my brain's energy system was running on fumes. The symptoms I thought were "focus problems" or "motivation problems" were downstream of something more fundamental. My brain simply didn't have the fuel to do what I was asking of it.
So I started mapping. Blood work, sleep architecture, nutrition timing, stress response, cognitive load patterns. I treated my own brain like a system that needed diagnosing — because it was.
What emerged was a causal model: not just what was wrong, but why it was wrong, in what order things broke, and which interventions actually moved the needle. That model became the foundation of BodyCog.
BodyCog exists because it is the system I wish existed back then. Not another app. Not another coach. A systematic way to map your brain's energy architecture, find the real bottlenecks, and build protocols that actually fit your life.
Formal training in brain function, neurochemistry, and cognitive systems
Military-tested discipline, systems thinking, and performance under pressure
Hands-on experience translating neuroscience into real-world protocols
Proven outcomes mapping individual brain architecture and building custom systems
COMT Met/Met. I live this. I do not theorise about brains from the outside.
"Map first, then build. Not the other way around."
